Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy
How online rental payments, cancellations, refunds and the vehicle security authorization are intended to work.
Payment policy
Online reservations are priced in Barbados dollars (BBD). The intended production checkout requires 100% of the rental amount to be paid in advance through the CIBC-approved online payment gateway before the reservation is finalized.
Z.H. Rentals does not intend to collect or store raw card numbers on its own server. Card entry will occur through the approved hosted or tokenized payment environment once the gateway is activated.
Cancellation and refund schedule

If the rental does not take place, any government Car Rental Levy collected for that cancelled rental is intended to be refunded as applicable. If Z.H. Rentals cancels a confirmed rental and cannot provide a suitable replacement, the customer receives a full refund of amounts paid to Z.H. Rentals for that reservation.
Date changes
One date-change request may be made without an administration fee when requested at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup, subject to vehicle availability. Any price difference caused by new dates or rates remains payable.
Vehicle security authorization
The current working security-deposit policy is a separate BDS $500 card authorization/hold. Z.H. Rentals is confirming with CIBC whether authorization-only, capture and reversal/void functionality is supported for the e-commerce car-rental workflow. The security authorization is separate from the rental price and should not be treated as rental revenue.
Refund processing
Approved refunds will be returned through the original payment method where possible. The time for a refund or released authorization to appear can depend on the payment gateway, card network and cardholder’s bank.
Currency
The website displays and processes rental pricing in Barbados dollars (BBD) unless a future approved payment configuration explicitly states otherwise.
